Educational Support Program

Since 2004, Nayee Asha has been transforming lives through education in Bihar’s marginalized Musahar communities. Our dedicated team visits remote villages regularly, raising awareness about literacy and enrolling children in schools. We’ve successfully enrolled over 10,000 students who are now pursuing matriculation, intermediate, and graduation degrees. Through personalized educational support and community outreach, we’re breaking barriers and creating opportunities for Musahar families across UP, West Bengal, and Nepal, ensuring no child is left behind.

Nanhe Kadam Abhiyan

Our flagship initiative, led by founder Dr. Bhimsingh Bhabesh, focuses on early childhood education for children aged 6-12 years. Through door-to-door outreach, we identify and enroll out-of-school children across 40-50 centers in Bihar. This comprehensive program provides educational materials, nutritional support, and personalized attention to ensure successful school integration. Our dedicated approach has transformed hundreds of young lives, giving children the foundational education they need to pursue higher studies and break intergenerational cycles of illiteracy and poverty.

Health Camp Initiative

Our comprehensive health camps bring essential medical services directly to Musahar communities across Bihar. With 200-400 camps organized to date, we provide free medical consultations, health screenings, and medicines to families who lack access to healthcare. These camps focus on preventive care, health education, and hygiene awareness. Our medical teams address common health issues while promoting healthy lifestyle practices, ensuring that basic healthcare becomes accessible to every Musahar family regardless of their economic status or geographic location.

Nasha Mukti Abhiyan

Alcohol addiction severely impacts Musahar communities, affecting families and livelihoods. Our Nasha Mukti Abhiyan addresses this critical issue through comprehensive awareness campaigns and rehabilitation programs. We work directly with community members involved in alcohol manufacturing, selling, and consumption, providing counseling and support services. Our rehabilitation approach includes vocational training, psychological support, and community integration programs, helping individuals overcome addiction and return to productive mainstream society while strengthening family bonds and community relationships.

Malnutrition Prevention Program

Malnutrition remains a serious challenge among Musahar children due to poverty and lack of nutritious food access. Our targeted nutrition program provides wholesome meals, essential medicines, and vitamin supplements to combat this severe health issue. We work closely with families to educate them about balanced nutrition, food hygiene, and healthy cooking practices. Through regular monitoring and community kitchen initiatives, we ensure children receive adequate nutrition for proper physical and mental development, creating a foundation for their educational success.

Livelihood Development Projects

Economic empowerment forms the cornerstone of our community development approach. We operate skills training programs including tailoring workshops for youth and women, benefiting 12-13 Musahar settlements. Our livelihood initiatives focus on creating sustainable income opportunities through vocational training, microfinance support, and market linkage development. These programs help community members develop marketable skills, start small businesses, and achieve financial independence, breaking the cycle of poverty and creating pathways to dignified employment and economic stability.

Identity Card Facilitation Services

Access to government services requires proper documentation, which many Musahar families lack. Our identity card facilitation program helps community members obtain essential documents including Aadhaar cards, voter IDs, and PAN cards. We provide complete assistance from application processing to document collection, ensuring families can access government schemes, banking services, and social benefits. This service removes bureaucratic barriers and empowers community members to participate fully in India’s digital governance initiatives and social welfare programs.

Smiling Teeth Oral Hygiene Program

Good oral hygiene practices are often overlooked in marginalized communities due to lack of awareness and resources. Our Smiling Teeth initiative distributes toothbrushes, toothpaste, and oral hygiene education to Musahar children and families. Through interactive sessions and demonstrations, we teach proper brushing techniques and dental care habits. This program promotes overall health awareness while building confidence and self-esteem among children, creating lasting healthy habits that benefit entire families and strengthen community health standards.

Survey on Musahar Community

In collaboration with university students and research scholars, Nayee Asha conducts comprehensive annual surveys on Musahar educational progress across operational areas. These detailed assessments track enrollment rates, identify dropout causes, monitor re-enrollment success, and measure academic performance trends. The data-driven approach helps us understand educational barriers, evaluate program effectiveness, and develop targeted interventions for specific challenges. Survey findings guide policy recommendations to government officials and inform strategic planning for future educational initiatives, ensuring evidence-based decision making for sustainable community development.

Chabutre Chapal

Chabutre Chapal serves as a democratic platform where Musahar community voices are heard and valued. These regular community meetings bring together settlement residents to openly discuss their challenges, needs, and aspirations. Nayee Asha team members facilitate these sessions, carefully documenting every concern raised – from lack of clean water and healthcare access to educational barriers and documentation issues. What makes this initiative powerful is immediate action – problems identified during Chabutra Chapal meetings receive prompt attention and solutions. This grassroots participatory approach ensures community ownership of development processes while building trust between Nayee Asha and Musahar families, creating transparent, responsive interventions.

Promoting Sports Among Musahar Youth

Our annual Mata Sabari Cricket Tournament exclusively celebrates Musahar youth’s athletic talents while serving deeper social integration purposes. Beyond providing recreational opportunities, this sporting event strategically mainstreams marginalized young people into broader society. Participating in organized tournaments exposes Musahar youth to urban environments, formal competition structures, and interactions with diverse communities. They learn teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and confidence – skills essential for modern life navigation. The tournament creates platforms for socialization beyond settlement boundaries, helping youth understand urban social dynamics and build networks that transcend traditional marginalization. Through sports, we’re breaking invisible barriers, fostering self-esteem, and preparing Musahar youth for confident participation in mainstream society.
