Educational Support Program
Since 2004, Nayee Asha has been transforming lives through education in Bihar’s marginalized Musahar communities. Our dedicated team visits remote villages regularly, raising awareness about literacy and enrolling children in schools. We’ve successfully enrolled over 10,000 students who are now pursuing matriculation, intermediate, and graduation degrees. Through personalized educational support and community outreach, we’re breaking barriers and creating opportunities for Musahar families across UP, West Bengal, and Nepal, ensuring no child is left behind.

Malnutrition Prevention Program
Malnutrition remains a serious challenge among Musahar children due to poverty and lack of nutritious food access. Our targeted nutrition program provides wholesome meals, essential medicines, and vitamin supplements to combat this severe health issue. We work closely with families to educate them about balanced nutrition, food hygiene, and healthy cooking practices. Through regular monitoring and community kitchen initiatives, we ensure children receive adequate nutrition for proper physical and mental development, creating a foundation for their educational success.
Livelihood Development Projects
Economic empowerment forms the cornerstone of our community development approach. We operate skills training programs including tailoring workshops for youth and women, benefiting 12-13 Musahar settlements. Our livelihood initiatives focus on creating sustainable income opportunities through vocational training, microfinance support, and market linkage development. These programs help community members develop marketable skills, start small businesses, and achieve financial independence, breaking the cycle of poverty and creating pathways to dignified employment and economic stability.
Identity Card Facilitation Services
Access to government services requires proper documentation, which many Musahar families lack. Our identity card facilitation program helps community members obtain essential documents including Aadhaar cards, voter IDs, and PAN cards. We provide complete assistance from application processing to document collection, ensuring families can access government schemes, banking services, and social benefits. This service removes bureaucratic barriers and empowers community members to participate fully in India’s digital governance initiatives and social welfare programs.
Smiling Teeth Oral Hygiene Program
Good oral hygiene practices are often overlooked in marginalized communities due to lack of awareness and resources. Our Smiling Teeth initiative distributes toothbrushes, toothpaste, and oral hygiene education to Musahar children and families. Through interactive sessions and demonstrations, we teach proper brushing techniques and dental care habits. This program promotes overall health awareness while building confidence and self-esteem among children, creating lasting healthy habits that benefit entire families and strengthen community health standards.
Survey on Musahar Community
In collaboration with university students and research scholars, Nayee Asha conducts comprehensive annual surveys on Musahar educational progress across operational areas. These detailed assessments track enrollment rates, identify dropout causes, monitor re-enrollment success, and measure academic performance trends. The data-driven approach helps us understand educational barriers, evaluate program effectiveness, and develop targeted interventions for specific challenges. Survey findings guide policy recommendations to government officials and inform strategic planning for future educational initiatives, ensuring evidence-based decision making for sustainable community development.
