Meet The Founder
Dr. Bhim Singh Bhavesh’s extraordinary journey with the Musahar community began long before Nayee Asha’s establishment. From his early years, he would visit Musahar settlements, observing their lives from very close quarters. What he witnessed left an indelible mark on his conscience – children of his own age were deprived of schooling, spending their days in survival struggles rather than classrooms. He saw youth trapped in the devastating cycle of addiction, their potential wasted before it could bloom. Adults worked tirelessly yet remained trapped in poverty, unable to break free from generations of marginalization.
These early encounters deeply moved young Bhavesh. The stark inequality, the denied opportunities, and the systematic exclusion of an entire community troubled him profoundly. It was during these formative visits that he made a life-changing decision – to dedicate himself to uplifting the Musahar community and bringing them into society’s mainstream.
A senior journalist and accomplished author from Arrah, Bihar, Dr. Bhavesh transformed his childhood compassion into concrete action spanning over 22 years. He has personally enrolled more than 10,000 children in schools, ensuring education reaches those who society had forgotten. His dedication extends to establishing comprehensive libraries, providing orphaned children with care and education, and helping 125+ students secure National Means-cum-Merit Scholarships.
Beyond his grassroots activism, Dr. Bhavesh is a distinguished writer, having authored influential books including “Kalkatta Se Kolkata Tak” and “Hashiye Par Hasrat,” which document the realities of marginalized communities with sensitivity and insight.
Through Nayee Asha NGO, Dr. Bhavesh embodies how individual compassion, when combined with persistent dedication and strategic action, creates systematic social transformation that changes thousands of lives.
