A school-enrolment and re-enrolment initiative helping out-of-school children enter formal education with dignity and essential support.
About the Programme
Vidyalaya Praveshotsav is Nayee Asha’s continuing school-admission and re-enrolment initiative.
The programme works with families to identify and support: - children who have never attended school; - children who have dropped out; - children with irregular attendance; - families requiring admission guidance; - children facing awareness or documentation barriers.
Programme activities may include: - settlement-level education surveys; - identification of out-of-school children; - family and parent counselling; - school-admission guidance; - re-enrolment support; - document-readiness facilitation; - coordination with schools where appropriate; - school-attendance follow-up; - connection with Setu Kendra; - learning-material support.
The programme is rooted in Nayee Asha’s work with Musahar children while also supporting other underserved children according to need and available programme capacity.
Alongside school-admission and education support, the programme may provide an “Asha Kit” containing verified hygiene, dignity and everyday-use items.
